67 special reissue 3

The '67 SG Special Reissue was part of Gibson's 2007 "Guitar of the Week" series, as week #37's guitar. It was a limited production run with only 400 produced.

Strangely, contrary to it's name, it does not represent a 1967 SG Special, as it does not have the "Batwing" pickguard that a 1967 would have, as well as the vibrola and a few other features. It is actually closer in specs to an early '60s Special.

Based on the beveling and heel design, the body is the same one used for an SG Standard.
